Xclaimed Ministries Kicks Off the Spring Season with Free Toys, Bicycles and Food for the Community at the Xclaimed Concert Event
Xclaimed Ministries provided free toys, bicycles and meals to the community as they begin their 2012 "Concert in the Park" season.
Stanton, CA, March 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Saturday, Xclaimed Ministries kicked off their 2012 "Concert in the Park" season. The event took place behind the Stanton Lighthouse Community Church of the Nazarene. Approximately 315 people attended the concert which incorporated free family entertainment, toys, bicycles and community camaraderie. The Xclaimed Ministries Band captured the attention of all the children, not only by their music but by randomly tossing toys into the crowd. The children also began jumping and reaching into the air as they were surprised with loads of bubbles blowing in front of the stage. The band truly meant to make this an exciting day for the children and it was a great success. Paul Karanick, founder and evangelist of Xclaimed Ministries, provided a message of Hope and over half of the attendees came forward for prayer. Karanick said, “On average, at our events approximately 8-10% of the people respond to the opportunity to accept Christ into their life. This event, by far, had the greatest response so far. God has called us to reach out to communities by providing free concerts and events that connect us with the people. Based on the response at this event; people are truly seeking God and we are providing the Answer.”
Xclaimed provided free cheeseburgers, chips and bottled water to everyone in attendance. However, the children were more excited about the free toys and bicycles. Each child took home two toys. For their first toy it was a tough decision between two very popular choices: Pillow Pets or a Cup Cake microwave kit with complete accessories. The second toy was picked from tables of amazing new toys. No matter what their choices, they all were very happy with the results. At the end of the day there were twelve exceptionally happy children who went home with new bicycles. Karanick says, “This is always a very emotional part of our events. Some of these kids have never owned a bicycle and to win one is almost the equivalent to an adult winning a new car. It is equally disappointing to the children who do not win. That is another reason we try so hard to raise enough money to purchase as many bicycles as possible. No matter the results of the drawing, all the children go home with toys and that is always thrilling.” The bicycle winners for this event are Kaylah Melendez (10), Tyliyah Morrow (4), Sandy Sebreros (7), Christina Hallum (11), Esparanza Arteaga (13), Emilia Arteaga (9), George Cruz, Jr. (12), Jordan Bennett (5), Felipe Sanchez (10), Calvin Le (9), Tyler Cameron (9), and Johnny Sebreros (5).
Since 2005, the ministry has offered free concerts throughout Southern California. They have given away over 320 bicycles, thousands of toys, Bibles and free cooked meals. Their goal is to continue to seek the needs of people within the community and assist them in as many ways as possible.
