AFC Worldwide Express, Inc. (dba R+L Global Logistics) became one of the first two motor carriers worldwide to achieve certification under the new Trucking Security Requirements (TSR 2012) established by the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA), AFC attained the highest level (1) of certification under the new standard.
Atlanta, GA, March 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- AFC Worldwide Express, Inc. (dba R+L Global Logistics) became one of the first two motor carriers worldwide to achieve certification under the new Trucking Security Requirements (TSR 2012) established by the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA), AFC attained the highest level (1) of certification under the new standard.
TAPA, the Transported Asset Protection Association, represents nearly 900 shippers, carriers, forwarders and insurers world-wide and has developed standards for protection from theft for cargo in the supply chain. TAPA’s FSR (Freight Security Requirements) have been recognized as best in class globally for many years, and TAPA has now published the TSR 2012 (Trucking Security Requirements) which apply to carriers hauling high value theft targeted freight.
“The development of the TSR standards is a major accomplishment for TAPA and represents hundreds of hours of volunteer work by cargo security professionals from all three TAPA Regions: Americas, ASIA and EMEA,” said Alan F. The TSR certification is recognized by the industry as a critical achievement to further secure the supply chain. Shippers now have verifiable in-transit security requirements through a globally recognized industry security consortium to ensure the safe transport of High Value-High Risk commodities.
The Certification brings independent validation to AFC’s policies, procedures, and practices for a dedicated fleet of highly trained personnel and state of the art equipment specifically designed for the handling and transport of High Value-High Risk commodities via FTL.
