Hernon Manufacturing Hosts Successful MACF Plant Tour
More than 80 from the Central Florida manufacturing sector attended Manufacturers Association of Central Florida plant tour at Hernon Manufacturing.
Sanford, FL, March 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Hernon Manufacturing, the innovator in adhesives, sealants and dispensing equipment, is pleased to announce the success of its plant tour on Wednesday, March 21st, 2012. The tour, enabled the Manufacturers Association of Central Florida (MACF) members and non-members to see the inner workings of a local manufacturing business.
"The MACF plant tour was an ideal way to share best practices with other manufacturers and supply chain professionals," said Harry Arnon. "We were pleased to have such a positive response and attendance of our plant tour and to be able to help promote manufacturing in the Central Florida area."
Representatives from some of the following companies were in attendance: Florida MEP, Consolidated Label Company, G.W. Schultz Tool, Invision Automotive Systems, Mitsubishi Power Systems, Correct Craft, Alro Metals, Northrop Grumman, The Compak Companies, and Invacare.
During the tour, attendees were divided into groups of ten. Each group toured the entire workings of the facility. Included in the tour were a visit to the lab, production center and the viewing of a quick informational video about Hernon, its adhesives, sealants, and dispensing equipment. Following the video, attendees were taken via golf carts to the equipment division, located just up the road from Hernon's main office. At each area of the tour, the manager from the specific department gave an informative speech and description of the primary responsibilities of that particular area of the factory.
In August of last year, the company announced expansion plans to almost triple its 26,000 square-foot plant by the end of 2013. In December of the same year, the company found it necessary to lease a nearby building with additional 3000 square foot in order to house its expanding equipment division after receiving several large equipment orders.
