Illinois Real Estate Office Brings "Discount" Concept from South of the Border
Edwardsville ValueQuest Realty has imported discount realty services, an idea that was a hit at their Honduras office
Edwardsville, IL, May 27, 2007 --(PR.com)-- This week ValuQuest Realty founder Jim Nantell announced his Edwardsville, IL office is using a new concept in discount realty services. It's an idea that first achieved popularity at Nantell's real estate office on the north coast of Honduras.
"In Honduras the local population is very conservative and, unlike Americans, they don't change their buying habits easily. We had to get creative. Our popular new discount concept was the result," Nantell said.
Hondurans rushed to buy Nantell's listed properties when he began offering dramatically lower realtor commissions. "The result was people could save thousands of dollars while still getting the very same real estate services pricier realtors provide," Nantell said.
Now Nantell's ValuQuest Realty in Edwardsville is offering an American version of his discount concept, giving customers huge discounts at closing. Clients typically save anywhere from $2,000 to $15,000 depending on the price of the home.
"Our clients are amazed when they find out they can save this kind of big money while still getting all the same essential services they expect from a traditional real estate firm," Nantell said.
Many use the extra money to afford a larger home in a better neighborhood, buy furniture, or save for a child's education or their own retirement.
"A home is one of the biggest investments most American's ever make, so saving this kind of money when selling a home puts them much further ahead in terms of lifestyle and net worth," Nantell pointed out.
ValuQuest requires no hidden fees or up-front charges. They only get paid if the client sells the home. All homes are listed in the MLS, the database where the vast majority of homes are sold. "Real estate companies will often talk about various programs and gimmicks they offer to sell your home, but it's really your listing in the MLS that makes the sale," Nantell said.
While Honduras is famous for beautiful sand beaches and eternally warm weather, concepts originally pioneered there are making homes more affordable in Illinois.
