DFW AMA Hosts Marketer of the Year Awards Gala
Metroplex marketers to convene on April 18 and recognize the best of the best.

The Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the American Marketing Association is going beyond the traditional measures of success and awarding some top campaigns from 2011 with peer recognition – something coveted by any marketing professional.
On Wednesday, April 18, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Dallas, marketing campaigns will be honored as category winners in the Marketer of the Year Awards. Finalists include Alcatel-Lucent, The Marketing Arm (for work done on the behalf of American Airlines and GameStop), Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, Boxcar Creative (for work done on behalf of Raley’s), Agency Entourage (for work done on the behalf of Chalkboard China), Fancorps (for work done on the behalf of Chili’s), Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Main Event Entertainment, T2 Media, Inc. (for work done on the behalf of Mary Kay), m2w, Inc. (for work done on the behalf of MetroPCS), Metroplex Technology Business Council, RTS Marketing Research (for work done on the behalf of Michaels Store, Inc.), Olmsted-Kirk Paper Company, SCA Promotions, and University of Texas at Dallas.
In addition, the DFW AMA will honor the overall Marketer of the Year, Collegiate Marketer of the Year, and the Chief Marketing Officer of the Year. The Chief Marketing Officer of the Year finalists are Allison Cerra from Alcatel-Lucent and Kurt Kane from Pizza Hut.
James Weber, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Comerica, Inc., will be the keynote speaker offering insight on client-agency relationships. Tom Dennis, Past President of the DFW AMA and Marketing Director for Blanks Printing and Imaging will serve as emcee for the evening’s events.
