Navinode to Launch World’s First All-Carbon Fibre Yacht at the Gold Coast Boat Show 2012 in Hong Kong
Navinode and Delta Powerboats will be launching the world’s first all-carbon fibre yacht in serial production in Asia at the Gold Coast Boat Show 2012 in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong, Hong Kong S.A.R., April 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- With the support of Swedish entrepreneur Roger Samuelsson, CEO of the renowned medical device company SHL, a new venture company Navinode will represent and promote the well-known Swedish brand Delta Powerboats in Asia. Navinode will be exhibiting at the Gold Coast Boat Show to introduce the Delta 54 "Carbon Cruiser," the world’s first carbon fibre yacht in serial production, to select guests in Hong Kong May 11-13th.
Delta Power Boats are at the forefront of design, technology and high-quality craftsmanship with its latest yacht models. The use of carbon fibre, similar to that used in the most luxurious and fastest racing cars, enables such yachts to be close to 30% lighter when compared with competitor models. This gives yachts such the Delta Carbon Cruiser a very attractive fuel consumption ratio, benefiting owners economically and is also better for the environment. In addition to the Carbon Cruiser, Delta Power Boats has also recently launched its first open model yacht targeting customers with active lifestyles. The Delta 26 "Sports Cruiser" is a unique hybrid of a day cruiser and a walk around. The Delta 26 comes with an innovative air lubricated hull design allowing for minimal fuel consumption and maximum stability at sea, with carbon fibre floors or full carbon fibre options available.
When asked to comment on Delta Powerboats, Roger Samuelsson said, “Delta Powerboat designs are truly innovative. For the Sports Cruiser it is basically like driving a high-end sports car but on the water. After meeting the staff behind this company I knew it was a concept that would do well in Asia – shortly afterwards we founded Navinode and partnered with Delta Powerboats as their exclusive dealer in this region.”
Mr. Samuelsson, who has lived in Asia for over 20 years and helped build one of the most successful medical device companies in the world SHL, is also a passionate boater dating back to his Swedish roots. Delta Powerboats is a Swedish yachting company who designs and manufacture pleasure motor yachts utilizing the latest design and technology available. Both parties have agreed to allow Navinode Ltd, an SHL Venture company, to represent Delta Powerboats in Asia.
“I have always strived my whole life for perfection in design and manufacturing and this is what SHL stands for today. When I came across Delta Powerboats I could see they shared my high standards and after negotiating with them, SHL via its venture company group established Navinode in Hong Kong to help move this project forward. Together we will bring two cutting edge yachts to the boat show at Gold Coast Marina in Hong Kong on May 11-13th for our official launch. Based on the feedback of previous boat shows in Europe we are certain that the Delta Boats will create huge interest also from the Hong Kong audience due to its exceptional design and technological leadership over similar boats in its category,” says Samuelsson.
Delta Powerboats Founder Kalle Wessel, who will also attend the show to work with the Navinode team stated, “It’s an honour for us to be part of the Navinode venture and we certainly hope that customers in Asia will value what we have done to create unique boats for unique people. We look forward to the event and the opportunity to show both the Delta 26 ‘Sports Cruiser’ and the Delta 54 ‘Carbon Cruiser’ up close and personal.”
