Fuentek Receives Excellence Award from STC Carolinas for NASA Work
Local Tech Transfer Firm Recognized with Two Awards for Work with NASA’s Glenn Research Center and Dryden Flight Research Center.
Apex, NC, April 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Laura A. Schoppe, president of Fuentek, LLC (http://www.fuentek.com/), a local consulting firm that provides intellectual property (IP) and technology transfer services, has announced that the firm has received two awards for their work for NASA from the Carolina Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC). Fuentek received an Excellence Award for the NASA Glenn Research Center 2011 technology transfer calendar and a Merit Award for the Innovative Partnerships Office website at the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center at the awards ceremony held on March 29 at the Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, N.C.
The purpose of the calendar is to encourage reporting of innovations by researchers and scientists working at the Glenn Research Center, and to foster technology transfer. Lee Ann Obringer and Nannette Stangle-Castor of Fuentek and Laurel Stauber of NASA were involved in designing and completing the calendar.
The Innovative Partnerships Office website was designed to encourage innovators at NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center to participate in technology transfer and to inspire external audiences to utilize Dryden technologies and resources. The new website has increased awareness of Dryden’s efforts. Obringer, Danielle McCulloch, Nancy Pekar and Amy Strong of Fuentek were involved in launching the website.
