Happy Hour at Parlor 88 South to Benefit Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Springfield, MO, April 05, 2012 --(PR.com)-- This Thursday, April 5th, Parlor 88 South in Springfield will be hosting an event to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Two of this year’s Man & Woman of the Year candidates, Becky Overend of Nexstar (KOLR/KOZL) and Parlor 88 Managing Partner Seth Elliott, are teaming up to host a happy hour fundraiser, complete with food and drink specials, music, entertainment and even prizes. There is no charge for the event, but donations are welcome and encouraged. The party starts at 4pm and lasts until about 7pm. Parlor 88 South is located at 1111 East Republic Road. Candidates who run for the title of Man and Woman of the Year are dynamic, passionate candidates who are a select group of community and business leaders who use their networking and leadership skills in a ten-week competition to raise the most funds. Many candidates run in honor of a loved one who passed from or is a survivor blood cancer; some candidates are survivors themselves.
