Santa Barbara, CA, April 05, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Mark F. Weiss, attorney-at-law, of Advisory Law Group, a nationally recognized expert on the business and legal issues affecting physicians, announced the release of two new books on the business and legal issues affecting anesthesiologists and radiologists. Entitled 2012 Anesthesia Business Update and 2012 Radiology Business Update, both are available for complimentary download at www.advisorylawgroup.com.
"Hospital-based medical practice is arriving at what I call the Great Junction, the fork in the road, one route leading to further commoditization of anesthesiology and radiology services with fungible providers, and the other route leading to high quality, high touch medical care: to a unique experience delivered by a Strategic GroupTM," Weiss said.
"At the same time, the practice of these specialties is under attack: Attack by hospitals that want to gut stipend support or to employ the anesthesiologists and radiologists or to turn their practice over to someone who will.
"Benchmarking to so-called best practices won’t save these physicians – it didn’t save home ice delivery men and it didn’t save buggy whip manufacturers. Benchmarking in this context is simply failure on the installment plan.
"But for the top echelon of anesthesiology groups and radiology groups that take the time and make the effort to strategize for their long-term success before they’re swept along by the flow of traffic down the commodity route, there is tremendous opportunity."
Each of the 2012 update books explores major themes related to developing and refining a group’s strategy.
