NanoTRANSFER 2007 to Focus on Identifying Nanotechnology-Enabled Solutions to Key Problems in Vertical Industries
Call for presentations - now open for nanotechnology start-ups and established companies interested in technology adoption
Grenoble, France, May 30, 2007 --(PR.com)-- NanoSPRINT launched the call for presentations for NanoTransfer 2007 - The 3rd Nanotechnology Transfer Executive Summit in Europe.
The event will take place on December 3 and 4, 2007, at the Novotel Charenton in Paris. Supporting organizations include CMP, NSTI (the National Science and Technology Institute) and TechLead Corporation. NanoTRANSFER 2007 will be co-located with the 2007 European Nano Systems Conference which will present the latest nanotechnology research in Europe.
The 2007 edition extends the previous one-day workshop format to a two-day event and takes a focused approach in bringing together innovators and established companies.
Industry-specific Technology Committees are working this year on establishing a short list of open problems in the application areas targeted by the Summit: Electronic & Optical Components, Energy & Environment and Consumer Products.
Nanotechnology start-ups are invited to submit presentations describing nanotechnology-enabled solutions to the problems outlined in this year’s call. The technologies included in the final program will be presented in sessions opened by potential users outlining their needs and their perspective of the potential of nanotechnology.
The goal of the Summit is to stimulate technology transfer, joint-developments and commercial developments, in between presentations of nanotechnology companies and potential users.
Florin Ciontu, Chief Executive Officer of NanoSPRINT and Chairman of the Summit, said:
"We believe nanotechnology has entered a phase were the focus is on specific solutions to specific problems. We are certainly taking that approach with this year’s Summit focusing on problems pinpointed by the actual users of nanotechnology – established companies in vertical industries."
Detailed information on the topics to be discussed, ways of getting involved, paper submission deadlines and venue can be found at www.nanosprint.com/events/nano_transfer_2007/.
