Natural Security Selected as One of Five Finalists for the "Florin" Awards
London, United Kingdom, April 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Natural security, a leading provider of reliable and convenient authentication technology, and member of the Biometrics Alliance Initiative, is pleased to announce that it has reached the final stages of the "Florin" Transaction Services Innovation Awards 2012.
Natural security has been selected as one of five finalists by the EPCA (European Payments Consulting Association) and will compete for the prestigious "Florin" Awards on the grounds of innovations in the transaction services industry and broad industry appeal. As a nominee, natural security will be eligible for three "Florins": "Winner Jury Vote," "Winner Community Vote" and "Best Product Pitch."
Cédric Hozanne, CEO of natural security comments, “This nomination really means a lot to natural security and is a great reward for the investment we’ve made in producing a world leading service. Innovation has been at our core since the business was formed and is at the heart of our technical development. Specifically we believe our products genuinely solve a worldwide dilemma and offer a universally reliable solution to access control and user authentication. As both industry experts and the community are involved in the process to determine the winners it would certainly be a great accolade to win.”
In March this year, natural security presented the global payments world a preview of the first payment and ID application from its unique authentication solution. The solution is based on a secure element and biometric recognition, combining privacy with user-friendliness.
The use of biometrics enables authentication based on two key components: identification that is unique to the individual, and a smartcard, SD card, or alternative, that is always in the user’s possession at the time of a transaction. The mid-range contactless enabled device means the simple act of placing a finger on a reader is all that’s required for the authentication process. This negates the need to memorise a PIN and makes it both simpler and faster to conduct transactions. Because natural security relies on contactless technology it spares users the need to physically handle the device, bringing to the market a unique combination of convenience, security and privacy."
The award winners will be announced at the Florin Award ceremony at the end of the 1st day at the EPCA Summit, April 19th 2012.
