Coming of Times: Messages from the Elders - Awakening Humanity’s Consciousness for a Better Planet
This 2 day forum event will be the first time Native Elders from around the globe will be lending their voices to speak about how to create a harmonious peaceful planet and work in partnership as a new humanity for a better world.
New York, NY, April 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Earth Day has been a historical marker of ecological awareness, environmental consciousness raising and celebration since John McConnell and US Senator Gaylord Nelson first called attention to the concept in 1969 and 1970. John Muir, a 19th century Scottish American conservationist and essayist born on April 21st in 1838, has been inspiring people to “keep close to nature's heart.” Earth Day has evolved exponentially around the world as an educational celebration of our planet, with millions of people around the globe participating every year voicing their love and concern for “Mother Earth” and demanding her protection.
Planet Heart, a project of We, the World, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, is sponsoring it's sixth annual World Peace Earth Day Elders Forum, entitled The Coming of Times: Messages from the Elders, Awakening Humanity's Consciousness for a Better Planet, from Saturday, 11am on April 21st thru Sunday, April 22nd at 10pm in New York City, including a Monday evening event on April 23rd at the META Center NY.
