edTalent is pleased to announce the BETA launch of “edTalent Jobs" and “edTalent Recruit”; the first areas of the online community for education professionals.
"edTalent Jobs" is a place for education professionals seeking jobs and careers in education. Users can search and apply to jobs as well as showcase a talent profile.
“edTalent Recruit” is a job board with education jobs and a resume database for employers seeking talent with a background in education.
Register Early and Help edTalent Grow:
edTalent will begin with a soft launch and registration period over several weeks throughout April 2012. edTalent is seeking the assistance of users to help this site grow the first areas of the online community by getting a jump start on registration, prior to fully functional release.
Job Seekers (Community Members) – “edTalent Jobs”:
During this initial registration period Job Seekers can upload resumes and other relevant documents, and create a free detailed profile in order to showcase talents to employers.
Following the registration period users will have the ability to search for and apply directly to a wide variety of education jobs. Uploaded documents and user profiles will also be searchable by employers. Finally, users will be provided with a dashboard to manage activity.
Registration automatically makes users Community Members. As edTalent grows, this membership will provide free access to a forum for sharing education ideas, a networking site which will include an application for a mobile device, as well as education news, and other education resources.
Employers – “edTalent Recruit”:
During this initial registration period Employers will have an opportunity to register, create a profile, and create free job postings.
Following the registration period education based employers will have free access to the job posting portal and resume reviewing tools. Applicants will have the ability to apply directly to employers’ job postings.
In the future this area of the community will grow with more applicant tracking tools, allowing a recruiter or employer to track each candidate in order to ensure a smooth hiring experience for both the job seeker and the employer.

The “edTalent Forum” will be part of the online community where education professionals can share ideas through a forum. This database of education topics will be searchable and will allow attachments.
“edTalent Connect” will be part of the online community where education professionals can network. This networking tool will enable users to communicate and start groups. This will include an app for your phone or other mobile device.
The “edTalent Resource Center” will enable the online community of education professionals to access education related resources. This will consist of a searchable database of education products, services, and tools provided by third parties.
“edTalent News” will provide the latest news stories in education related to technology, policy, public commentary, or politics.
The “edTalent Virtual Classroom” is a place where educators can network and connect with classrooms across the globe. This will enable the use of video in order to connect to classrooms globally.
