Scioto Downs Announces Job Fair for New Casino Slated to Open in Early Spring

Columbus, OH, April 10, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Scioto Downs Casino & Racetrack has scheduled a job fair Apr. 18, to hire workers for the new casino being built in Columbus that is slated to open in early spring.

The job fair is scheduled for Apr. 18 from 10 am to 3 pm at the Central Ohio Workforce Investment Corporation building located at 1111 E. Broad St.

The casino plans to hire approximately 800 employees in both full-time and part-time positions to fill a wide range of jobs.

“We are currently hiring for all positions to include Human Resources, IT, VLT Operations, Cage/Club Operations, Finance, Audit, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Racing, Valet, Marketing, Food & Beverage and Security and Surveillance...We're looking for people with personality and energy who enjoy serving the public in a fun and exciting environment,” said Troy Buswell, Scioto Downs Casino & Racetrack VP and General Manager.

Construction of Scioto Downs Casino & Racetrack is ongoing, and when completed, the facility will open with approximately 2,100 video lottery terminals and is permitted to increase that number to as many as 2,500. Additionally, there will be a 300-seat buffet, a 100-seat casual dining restaurant, an 82-seat bar/lounge with high-tech sound and lights, and will offer a variety of entertainment options. The current racetrack will also benefit from a variety of improvements.
