Paris, France, April 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Ekinops, a leading supplier of next-generation optical transport equipment, announced today the appointment of Patrick Gault, previously with Tellabs and Cisco, to the position of vice president of sales for the Americas, as the company expands in this region.
“We are extremely pleased to have Patrick lead our North American team,” said Didier Brédy, Ekinops CEO. “He is a very successful sales executive and has solid experience working with large carriers. The combination of his skills and our superior optical networking solutions, especially at 100G, will contribute to continued success and growth in the Americas.”
Patrick brings over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry with many successes in the optical space and was most recently regional vice president of sales for Tellabs. “I am truly excited to be part of Ekinops at a critical time in our industry, as 100G is reshaping it,” stated Gault. “The company has tremendous expertise at 100G and its solution has the strongest value proposition I have seen in a long time. My team’s role is to make sure carriers know how beneficial our new offering can be to them, from a performance and economic standpoint.”
Ekinops’ unique 100G technology, combined with its T-Chip (Transport-on-a-Chip), concentrates the equipment’s transport intelligence into a highly compact and efficient design, that reduces costs, footprint, power consumption, delivery times to customers and provides unmatched performance for the Ekinops 360 transport system.
