University Celebrates Centennial with Week-Long Events

Tennessee State University will hold eight-days of events to honor the University's 100th Anniversary April 14-21.

Nashville, TN, April 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- For 100 years, Tennessee State University has inspired minds, forged the link between classroom and real-world experience, and provided the foundation for a lifetime of achievement. From April 14-21, the University will hold a series of special events to commemorate and honor Nashville’s only public university as TSU celebrates its long and historic lineage.

During the eight-day celebration, the University will celebrate the legacy of excellence, resilience and unity that the institution has been known for the past 100 years. Events will include sporting events, lectures, exhibits, symposiums, visual and performing arts, and social events to commemorate this milestone.

While there are numerous sporting events taking place Saturday, April 14, the official kick-off event, the Centennial Celebration of Gospel, takes place Sunday, April 15 at Kean Hall beginning at 6 p.m.
