Texas State SIFE partners with Let's Can Hunger Campaign
Who: Texas State SIFE; What: Transforming awareness into action in the form of hunger relief; When: Spring 2012; Why: To empower those in situations less fortunate and give them the needed resources to succeed; Where: Austin, TX- Caritas.
San Marcos, TX, April 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- On Friday, March 2, 2012, Texas State University Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) has raised and donated canned goods to a non-profit food service, Caritas, which provides the necessary food and supplies to families less fortunate in Austin.
Partnered with Campbell Soup Company, SIFE student Amanda Billlings and other members have, and continue to, provide their efforts in raising donated canned goods to reach the 5000 lb challenge. In March, SIFE’s latest drop off summed up to 1053 lbs. With many planned trips to Austin in the near future, SIFE will continue to provide canned good donations to Caritas. Let’s Can Hunger is one of many projects that the SIFE organization undertakes for the prosperity of the community.
SIFE is a global, non-profit organization that is literally changing the world through highly dedicated student teams on more than 1600 university campuses in 40 countries.
