InfoSec Skills Attains BCS Accredited Training Partner Status
London, United Kingdom, April 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- New kid on the block, InfoSec Skills (http://www.infosecskills.com) has just attainted Accredited Training Partner status through the British Computer Society (BCS). This accolade permits the specialist information security training company to provide accredited BCS accredited courses, each of which prepares students for much-coveted BCS professional qualifications. Courses due to be submitted for accreditation later this year include the foundation-level Certificate in Information Security Management Principles (CISMP), a benchmark professional qualification in the security industry in the UK, as well as the practitioner certificates in Business Continuity Management and Certificate in Information Risk Management.
Terry Neal, CEO of InfoSec Skills, says, “I am extremely proud of my team who have worked tirelessly to gain us this accreditation. The InfoSec Skills board set our accreditation team a challenge at the beginning of the year to achieve this by June 2012, yet the team has pulled out all the stops to ready the quality plan, student enrolment details, policies and procedures, and application forms as early as possible, leading to today’s fantastic outcome. We can now advertise our partnership in earnest at this year’s Infosecurity Europe in Earls Court, where we hope to be recruiting authors and students alike. I am very proud to be part of such a wonderful and exciting company.”
John Hughes, Director of Faculty and Courses for InfoSec Skills commented saying, “The BCS partnership offers students a quality check that other training vendors don’t offer, making sure that our students know the tuition they receive has had the scrutiny of the world’s foremost professional computer organisation. However, above and beyond that, our commitment to the BCS and what they stand for in terms of industry excellence is testament to how InfoSec Skills operate as a business. We are fully committed to our ethical, professional and quality standards and endeavour to have all of our courses and operations backed by the highest forms of industry kitemarks available.”
InfoSec Skills will be piloting the BCS’s CISMP, BCM and IRM courses (see http://certifications.bcs.org/) in the summer of 2012 alongside the launch of numerous other physical and information security courses currently in development.
