QA Graphics Wins 2012 District ADDY Award
QA Graphics won a silver ADDY® award in the 2012 AAF District competiton for its Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard made for the World Food Prize.
Ankeny, IA, April 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- QA Graphics, an Iowa interactive design company, is pleased to announce having won a silver ADDY® award at the American Advertising Federation’s 2012 District competition.
The ADDY awards, organized by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), is the world's largest advertising competition. The ADDY Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types, creative by all sizes and entrants of all levels from anywhere in the world. QA Graphics’ entry, the Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard completed for the World Food Prize, competed with more than 600 entries from markets in Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas to win a silver award in the District 9 competition.
This creative project was entered in the district competition after winning a gold ADDY at the local American Advertising Federation of Des Moines' annual awards show. In addition to this award, QA Graphics was honored with three other awards including a silver for a 3D animation included in a local commercial, a special “interactive” recognition from the judges for the World Food Prize project, and one of QA Graphics’ employees was honored with the Rookie of the Year award for member involvement in the organization. Having won at the district level, the entry will now be forwarded for judging in the National ADDY Awards. Over 1,500 national finalists from across the country will compete in the National ADDY awards, with the winners presented in Austin, Texas, June 5, 2012 held in conjunction with the AAF National Conference.
QA Graphics’ Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard is an interactive application used to creatively educate about an organization’s sustainable building features. The World Food Prize Hall of Laureates has the application displayed on a touchscreen in their building to educate the public about the sustainable renovation of their century-old building. Visitors can interact with the solution to view real-time energy usage information to see how the building operates, and learn about a variety of sustainable building features that have been implemented.
The World Food Prize is the foremost international award recognizing the achievements of individuals who have advanced human development by improving the quality, quantity or availability of food in the world. The Prize calls attention to what has been done to improve global food security and to what can be accomplished in the future. The World Food Prize was conceived by Dr. Norman E.
