BERUCOAT AK 978 is a high performance water based synthetic dry film coating designed for the automotive and component supplier industry, mainly for noise damping issues in interior systems. BERUCOAT AK 978 is approved according GMW16531-Type 4 for low friction coatings and can be found under GM’s MATSPC database.
Chagrin Falls, OH, April 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Etna Bechem Lubricants (Chagrin Falls, OH) and its partner company Carl Bechem GmbH (Hagen, Germany) are pleased to announce a new OEM global specification approval from General Motors for Bechem’s BERUCOAT AK 978 anti-friction coating. BERUCOAT AK 978 is approved according GMW16531-Type 4 for low friction coatings and can be found under GM’s MATSPC database.
BERUCOAT AK 978 is a high performance water based synthetic dry film coating designed for the automotive and component supplier industry, mainly for noise damping issues in interior systems. It is generally neutral to all common sealing materials, polymeric materials and non-ferrous metals and leaves a clear, elastic and dry film on the surface of the component after evaporation of the water. It’s formaldehyde free and provides an excellent sliding surface which prevents stick-slip. It contains a UV indicator and has an operating service temperature of -40°C to +80°C.
This product is successfully used in the automotive industry to minimize rattles and squeaks caused by vibrating stress in interior systems such as plastic, leather trims and cloth. However, it can also be used for door trims and sun roof applications.
