Capita Announces Details of Its 5th National Supported Housing Conference

Capita’s 5th National Supported Housing Conference coincides with some of the biggest changes to impact on supported housing in recent years, providing delegates with an update from trial areas currently exploring Payment by Results models.

London, United Kingdom, April 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Restricted budgets and recent reforms to housing benefit payments have led to increasing concerns over the sustainability of provision of housing related supported services. Local authorities and housing providers must now examine ways to transform services and pilot new, more cost effective approaches to delivery. Capita’s 5th National Supported Housing Conference, taking place in London on the 30th May, coincides with some of the biggest changes to impact on supported housing in recent years, providing delegates with an update from trial areas currently exploring Payment by Results models and introducing Personal Budgets, aiming to deliver efficient, person centered supported housing services.

It is estimated that almost 10% of the HCA's Affordable Homes Programme is set to be delivered as supported housing and housing for older people. With this increased opportunity for extra funding, providers will need to demonstrate the wider benefits that housing related support brings to their community and ensure value for money.

Key stakeholders come together to offer policy insights and best practice case studies focusing on:

• The impact of Housing Benefit Reform on supported housing payments
• Shifting the emphasis of commissioning practices to an outcome-based approach
• Embedding personalisation in the delivery of housing related support
• Demonstrating the preventative value of supported housing in the wider health and wellbeing agenda

This timely event is an ideal forum to address the key challenges in delivering supported housing services going forward and will provide best practice examples against which to benchmark your own provision.
