Lincoln Energy Solutions Expands Biofuels Offloading Facility
Ethanol Storage Tank will Feature 1.5 Million Gallon Capacity
Greenville, SC, April 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Lincoln Energy Solutions, a provider of biofuels solutions and related services, is expanding their facility by constructing new storage tanks at their location in Belton, South Carolina. The newly constructed tanks will provide 1.5 million gallons of storage capacity for ethanol and 400,000 gallons of storage space for biodiesel fuel. Additionally, a 225,000 gallon water tank is being built as part of the foam fire suppression system for tank fire protection in accordance to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
With the addition of the ethanol storage tank, Lincoln Energy Solutions will be able to expedite the off-loading process of the 80 tanker car unit train for quicker and more efficient turns. The new process will accomplish off-loads in only 48 hours which cuts the previous time required by nearly half. Additionally, Lincoln is expanding their rail line to allow for six additional biodiesel tank cars. Construction of the storage tanks and expanded rail line is expected to be completed by the end of May.
“This is an important project for us because the entire off-loading process will be expedited which means faster biofuel delivery to meet customer demand,” says Jim Farish, CEO of Lincoln Energy Solutions. “The addition of the storage tanks gives us an overall efficiency boost from the time the tank cars arrive on the rail and the fuel is off-loaded to our tanks, to when our trucks bring product to our customers.”
Lincoln Energy Solutions receives their ethanol supply through a strategic business relationship with Archer Midlands Daniel (AMD).
