Alternative Fuels & Advanced Technology Vehicles Expo Excites Regional Fleet Managers in Greater Washington D.C. Region
Washington, DC, April 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition (GWRCCC) is undertaking a new venture to support the wider use of non-petroleum fuels in the region. The 1st Alternative Fuels & Advanced Technology Vehicles Expo is a one-day event co-hosted by the GWRCCC and coalition member Washington Gas. Staged at the utility’s new operations campus in Springfield, VA., the May 22 Expo promises to be a “don’t miss” event in D.C. this spring.
Several dozen Washington Area Fleet Managers have registered to attend the May 22nd event. The opportunity to meet with suppliers, look at different alternative fuel options for fleet operations and to learn about how to transition to a non-petroleum fuel for their fleets is of top interest to this group.
The region’s largest single gathering of Alternative Fuels and Advanced Technology Vehicles will be at the heart of the Expo. The leading technologies to compete with gasoline-powered and diesel-powered engines will be on display for the public to see, touch, smell, and, in some cases, drive. Dozens of alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles, from personal automobiles and service vehicles to Class 8 tractors and transit buses, will be on display.
The Expo is May 22, 2012, beginning with registration and Continental breakfast from 8-9 a.m. From 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. attendees may take in the displays, breakout sessions focused on a particular alternative fuel or emergency responder information, exhibitor booths and vehicles spread around the beautiful, new campus: Washington Gas, 6801 Industrial Road, Springfield, VA. 20012-1421.
Online registration for the Expo opened on March 14, 2012. Registration for sponsorship and attendance can be accessed via GWRCCC.org or CleanCitiesEventsDC.com.
