Greg Thompson Joins SEPI Engineering & Construction

Wilmington, NC, April 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Sepi Asefnia, president of SEPI Engineering & Construction (http://www.sepiengineering.com), a firm which provides civil engineering and planning services to private and public sector clients across the Southeast, has announced the addition of Greg Thompson, a Professional Engineer (PE) and Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) with 22 years of experience, as site civil department manager. In his position, Thompson will be responsible for coordinating the firm’s business development efforts in Brunswick, New Hanover, and Pender counties and surrounding areas. He will also oversee civil engineering design, permitting for water and sewer utilities, storm water, erosion control, site design and planning, as well as boundary and topographic surveys.

A native of coastal North Carolina, Thompson received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He previously served as an engineer with New Hanover County, serving as county engineer starting in 2004. In 2007, he founded Southern Engineering, a firm providing civil engineering and land surveying services to southeastern North Carolina. Thompson’s professional associations include the American Water Works Association (AWWA), North Carolina Society of Surveyors (NCSS) and the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). An active member of the Rotary Club of Burgaw, Thompson resides in Currie, N.C. with his wife and four children.
