Princeton, NJ, April 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- On Monday, April 23rd Princeton, New Jersey resident John LaBosco will begin his 1,800 mile journey up the East coast to raise money and awareness for Eden Autism Services, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with autism and their families. The ride is estimated to take six weeks and will begin at Eden’s Ft. Myers School at The First Presbyterian Church at 2438 2nd Street on 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 23rd, and will conclude at Eden’s Princeton location the last week of May. A send-off ceremony will include Eden students, staff and parents. The public is invited to attend.

With locations in Southwest Florida and Princeton, New Jersey, Eden Autism Services' mission is to improve the lives of children and adults with autism and support their families by providing a range of community based services to meet specific needs throughout the lifespan.

LaBosco, a former Eden employee who worked in Eden’s adult residential program is an avid cyclist and outdoorsman. He hopes to raise a minimum of $25,000 through donations and sponsorships. “I have seen first-hand the impact Eden has on our participants and families,” said LaBosco. “Economic times are tough and for Eden to continue to provide critical services for individuals with autism, additional funding is needed. I combined my two passions to raise money for a place and people that I love and feel privileged to be a part of.”

“The incidence of autism continues to rise at an alarming rate,” said Dr. Tom McCool, President and CEO of Eden Autism Services. “The latest statistics state that 1 in 88 American children are affected by autism. We thank John for his tremendous effort to help raise awareness and funds for autism and to help support Eden’s mission.”
