Online Community of Women Discovers Their Super Power

Tucson, AZ, April 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Are you a superhero, a mentor, a wise old woman or a warrior? Everyone has a personal archetype and the online community of Women on the Verge will discover their super power this May, with the help of their virtual sidekick, Social Media.

The online community Women on the Verge (WOTV), will utilize their blogs, tweets and vlogs on www.womenontheverge.net to tap into their personal strengths and figure out how to use them.

Women on the Verge members voice their opinions about anything they’d like on the website, find sisterly support and jump in on a monthly topic of discussion. For the month of May the theme is: What’s Your Super Power? Anyone can create a free account and join the conversation.

“Everyone has a ‘super power.’ What's yours and what would you love to do with it?” asks founder and member Ana Lewis. “This will be a very individual thing and blogging will possibly even help you discover your hidden super powers.”

The WOTV blogs, which garner 1,000,000 hits per month, are the main feature of the community and have landed the website in the pages of Marie Claire magazine. The community also boasts an additional 10,000 followers on social media. Members span all over the world and include New York Times bestselling authors, entrepreneurs and mothers.

To supplement the virtual discussion, life coach and WOTV member Judy Kinney will offer a telecall seminar titled “What’s Your Super Power?” on May 2. “Who says that only comic book super heroes have access to magical super powers?” asks Kinney on her website www.judykinney.com. In the hour-long session, which costs $40, Kinney will help participants explore their personal magic through the lens of archetypes.

Later on the third Wednesday of the month, WOTV members will share what they’ve blogged and concluded about themselves, on the Women Change the World online radio show available on www.blogtalkradio.com/womenontheverge. The show will air on May 16th from 7 to 8 p.m. Eastern Time.

Panelists include Judy Kinney; Marta Moran-Bishop, author of “Wee Three, A Mother's Love in Verse”; Jessica Mason Pieklo, women's rights activist and attorney; Dawn Rivers, political junkie and micro-business expert; and Elin Stebbins Waldal, author of “Tornado Warning, A Memoir of Teen Dating Violence and Its Effect on a Woman's Life” and founder of Girls kNOw.
