New Font Semidocile Released by Type Foundry Stiff Upper Glyph

A high-quality OpenType font called Semidocile has recently been released by the type foundry Stiff Upper Glyph. The unique sans-serif sports a slightly brush inspired feel and a modern, amiable personality. It was designed by graphic designer John Merrifield to stand apart from the common look of most other sans-serifs.

Los Angeles, CA, April 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Stiff Upper Glyph, a new typeface design studio and font foundry specializing in the creation of interesting high-quality fonts, has released Semidocile - an intriguing sans-serif typeface with a modern, unique personality.

The glyphs (letters) have bull-nosed corners and a slightly brush inspired feel, which is sleek and modern, while simultaneously amiable and soft. It was designed to stand apart from the common look of most other sans-serifs.

The OpenType font is meticulously kerned, contains 382 glyphs, and supports most Latin and Western European Languages. Additional weights and styles are underway and coming soon. The first weight available, Bold, is a precursor to an entire family, and it's already style-linked to snap directly into place with its future family members.

According to designer John Merrifield, "It doesn't look like anything else because I didn't copy anyone. It's completely unique and original, and it's going to stand out very well. I poured an ocean of intense quality into it. The kerning is excellent."

Semidocile is useful as either a chic display/headline font, or sufficiently legible text font, and the soon to be released regular and light weights will be especially suited for the latter.
