Texas Hospital Association Names Hoar Construction to HealthSHARE
Hoar Construction is first contractor to receive TX Hospital Association endorsed company status
Houston, TX, April 25, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Texas Hospital Association (THA) has endorsed Hoar Construction, making it the first construction company to be part of the THA HealthSHARE program (www.healthshare-tha.com). THA helps hospitals across Texas provide safe, quality and affordable healthcare. HealthSHARE supports the THA mission through an extensive due-diligence process to screen and endorse companies serving Texas hospitals. Only one company in each product or service category receives a THA endorsement.
HealthSHARE president and CEO Jim Dixon believes an endorsed construction company will provide a quantifiable benefit to hospitals across Texas.
“Facility construction, operation and maintenance are among the largest expenses a hospital incurs, yet patient care can’t be compromised due to construction,” Dixon said. “The highly specialized and intense nature of a hospital puts extra pressure on the builder to have exacting standards of safety, quality and planning. This is true whether you’re a small, rural hospital or major urban medical center. HealthSHARE has done the legwork to research and verify that Hoar Construction can serve the needs of THA members and help them provide excellent healthcare in their respective communities.”
A THA endorsement is the seal of approval that a company has met THA and HealthSHARE requirements for product quality, service track record, customer satisfaction, and financial stability. THA first identifies the need of the product or service, then solicits suggestions from THA members, and finally conducts extensive reference checks of the candidate before recommending a company to the THA Board of Directors. By choosing a THA preferred vendor, Texas healthcare providers may improve their efficiency, avoid unnecessary costs, reduce operating and capital expenses and learn new business strategies.
Wendy Burke, Director of Business Development – Texas division of Hoar Construction, recognizes the value and responsibility of the endorsement.
“Hoar is thrilled to receive the HealthSHARE endorsement,” Burke commented. “Facilities are among the largest expenses for healthcare organizations, and their design and construction are vital to efficient operations and quality patient care. Between changes in national healthcare regulations and tighter lending standards, hospitals face more challenges than ever before to provide appropriate facilities and infrastructure. At Hoar, we know quality and value are non-negotiable in a healthcare setting, and we've helped hospital clients implement effective solutions across the state of Texas and the nation. The HealthSHARE endorsement will allow us to help more Texas healthcare organizations manage their costs while providing the services and technologies patients need.”
