Washington, DC, April 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) is among the many noted exhibitors and presenters to be featured at the nation’s largest 2nd USA Science & Engineering Festival Expo celebration. The event will be hosted by Lockheed Martin, April 28-29, 2012 in Washington, DC.
CEE will highlight the Research Science Institute (RSI), the USA Biology Olympiad (USABO), and the Teacher Enrichment Program (TEP). The Center for Excellence in Education’s exhibit can be seen on Saturday, April 28th and Sunday, April 29th at booth #1426 in the Washington Convention Center.
"CEE is thrilled to be at the Festival Expo to inspire, to educate, and to encourage young scholars to pursue STEM careers," said Joann DiGennaro, President of the Center for Excellence in Education.
The Festival Expo -- with its fascinating array of hands-on exhibits and stage shows, coupled with up-close interaction with renowned innovators, and top researchers and celebrities in science and engineering -- has rapidly evolved into a must-see event for families, students and others across the country and globe.
A free weekend event, the Expo, scheduled for the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, culminates a month-long series of Festival events taking place in April throughout the nation and in various foreign countries to encourage young students in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
“We sincerely thank our Expo exhibitors, performers and other presenters for their valued role in the Expo’s mission to inspire the next generation of science and technology innovators,” said Larry Bock, Founder and Executive Director of the USA Science & Engineering Festival. “The Expo promises a fun and exciting weekend that allows kids, their families and others to participate in over 2,000 interactive exhibits and other activities, plus seeing more than 100 live performances by science celebrities, explorers, best-selling authors, innovative entrepreneurs and world-renowned experts,” he said.

About the USA Science & Engineering Festival:
The USA Science & Engineering Festival is the country’s only national science festival, and was developed to increase public awareness of the importance of science and to encourage youth to pursue careers in science and engineering by celebrating science in much the same way as we celebrate Hollywood celebrities, professional athletes and pop stars. Lockheed Martin is again the presenting host of the USA Science & Engineering Festival and is joined by many other Festival sponsors and partners. The USA Science & Engineering Festival is a grassroots collaboration of over 500 of the United States leading science and engineering organizations.
