14th Annual Child Care Business Expo Presented by the Women’s Business Development Center to be Held June 2
Expo provides child care entrepreneurs access to creative solutions to today’s business issues and to a much-needed network of resources and support.
Chicago, IL, April 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The 14th Annual Child Care Business Expo: Shining a Light on the Business Side of Child Care, presented by the Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC), will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the UIC Forum, 725 W. Roosevelt Road, in Chicago. The Morning Session will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and an Afternoon Session from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Themed “Shining a Light on the Business Side of Child Care,” and presented in Spanish and English, the Child Care Business Expo provides child care entrepreneurs access to creative solutions to today’s business issues and to a much-needed network of resources and support. Attendees learn from peers and top leaders in the business side of child care. The Expo is the only event of its kind—a unique one-stop clearinghouse for child care business solutions, resources, products, information and services.
Highlights of the Expo include the annual Child Care Business Breakfast and Applause Awards, featuring a keynote breakfast presentation by nationally-renowned family child care expert Tom Copeland of the National Association for Family Child Care and honoring exemplary child care providers and activists in the child care community; Speed Business Coaching and Afternoon Boost Your Business Sessions focused on strengthening business skills in a variety of areas; and an Exhibit Hall with over 60 booths featuring insurance vendors, bankers, child care associations, state regulatory agencies for the industry, and educational products and curriculum vendors. New to the Exhibit Hall this year are women’s health and wellness exhibitors as well as a Model Family Child Care Business Office and PowerCorner booths featuring interactive sessions.
Illinois Lieutenant Governor, Sheila Simon and Cook County Board President, Toni Preckwinkle will serve as Expo Honorary Co-Chairs and welcome attendees at the opening breakfast.
