Stuff Magazine Now Available in Chinese
Chinese version of Malaysia’s Top Gadget Lifestyle magazine hits the newsstands.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, April 28, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Catcha Publishing, the media arm of Malaysian ACE market listed Catcha Media Berhad, today announced the release of the simplified Chinese version of the popular and No.1 Gadget Lifestyle magazine, Stuff in an extension of its licence agreement with Haymarket Media Group. The magazine is called “电子时尚 (Electronic Lifestyle) Powered by Stuff” and will be available in all major news stands and bookshops starting today.
电子时尚 will be offering everything that has made Stuff Malaysia popular including up to date features and news on all things related to the world of gadgetry and technology. Like the English version of Stuff, 电子时尚 has a unique understanding of the desires of the 21st century man, the cognoscenti, urban warriors and early adopters: to buy, play and share.
“电子时尚 takes this opportunity to bring inspiration and practical stories to readers so that they can make the most suitable product purchasing decisions. The magazine will also add more knowledge on gadgets and technology and enhance their urban philosophy,” said the editor of 电子时尚, Phoenix Teng, Lee Wee.
The English edition of Stuff magazine has been published by Catcha Publishing since 2004 and has grown to be one of the leading tech and gadget magazines in Malaysia. With the addition of 电子时尚, Catcha Publishing will now be able to leverage on the Chinese speaking market in the country, and grow its readership base.
Voon Tze Khay, Catcha Publishing’s General Manager, said, “The launch of 电子时尚 is another milestone achieved for the publishing division. There are readers who prefer to read Stuff in Chinese, and with this launch, we are now able to extend our brand and content to this group. The Chinese edition features new sections such as Skills and Gaming, while retaining the original DNA of Stuff, 电子时尚 is the ultimate must-have for any gadget and technology enthusiasts.”
Edward Marr, Haymarket’s Head of Licensing Development (Asia), added, “We are very pleased to be extending our relationship with Catcha and to launch a second edition of Stuff in Malaysia, the first market to publish two different language editions of one of our titles. Stuff is now the biggest magazine in its sector in Asia and we have a number of plans to grow the brand further with our partners across the region.”
电子时尚 targets a largely male audience between the ages of 20 to 30 but will also be accessible to all other readers bound by one common trait – an addiction to the shiny things in life.
The magazine will be sold on all major newsstands and bookstores in Malaysia at RM7 for Peninsula and RM9 in East Malaysia, with a circulation of 20,000 copies.
Stuff, the world’s best-selling gadget magazine, is published by Haymarket in the UK and India and under license in China, France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Lithuania, Malaysia (English and Chinese), Mexico, Middle East, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam.
