Art 4 stART Art Sale to Benifit stART on the Street '07 to be Held June 15 at Clark University, Worcester MA
Worcester, MA, June 04, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Worcester ARTS Alliance will host Art 4 stART, a fundraiser art sale to benefit stART on the Street 07, on Friday, June 15 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at the Traina Center for the Arts at Clark University, 92 Downing Street, Worcester. The cash and carry event will feature a wide range of fine art and handmade crafts by local artists and limited edition 2007 stART on the Street t-shirts designed by Scott Boilard will be available for purchase.
The reception will also feature live music by Huck, food, beverages, Henna body art, interactive displays and more. This year, stART on the Street free cultural street festival returns to Park Avenue on Sunday, September 16. An estimated 15,000 people attended last year's event; over 220 artists are expected to sell their works at stART on the Street 07.
Work from past stART on the Street artists and vendors are featured in the current Worcester ARTS Alliance Worcester Windows display at 322 Main Street; it remains on view through September 7.
The Worcester ARTS Alliance is a Central Massachusetts-based cultural group dedicated to providing at-risk and special needs youth from the Worcester area the opportunity to experience collaborative community art by participating in public art projects. stART on the Street was awarded the Telegram & Gazette Visions Community Award for Cultural Enrichment on February 15, 2007.
