The Kansas House of Representatives to Recognize the Kelsey Smith Foundation®

Topeka, KS, May 02, 2012 --(PR.com)-- On May 3, 2012, (what would have been Kelsey's 23rd birthday) the Kansas House of Representatives will honor the memory of the life of Kelsey Smith on the floor of the House of Representatives in Topeka. The fifth anniversary of Kelsey's death is June 2, 2012. A certificate will be presented by State Representative Greg Smith (R-Overland Park, District 22) to Kelsey's mother, Missey Smith. Missey will also be recognized for her work on the Kelsey Smith Act, the landmark legislation that was first passed in Kansas, and now has been passed in 6 other states. Members of the Kelsey Smith Foundation will be honored for their service and the Foundation will be recognized for its outreach to youth and young adults.
