Raleigh, NC, May 02, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Wake County Economic Development (WCED) (http://www.raleigh-wake.org/home), in partnership with the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce (http://www.raleighchamber.org) and the Chamber’s Competitive EDGE4 program, has announced the release of a podcast featuring Joel Kotkin, author of The Next Hundred Million: America in 2050 and keynote speaker for the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s 2012 Economic Development Forum taking place on Wednesday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The podcast details the topics of Kotkin’s address to be delivered at the event at the Raleigh Marriott City Center at 500 Fayetteville St.
In the podcast, Kotkin touches on the area’s ideal combination of well-paying jobs and a relatively low cost of living that helps attract educated immigrants and foster high-end economic development in industries such as technology and service. The Work in the Triangle campaign is a regional initiative to attract highly skilled workers in targeted industry clusters to move to the region.
