Leah Koenig, Parent Coach & Child Therapist, to Speak at the First Mamacon Conference, May 19th in Bellevue Washington
Bellevue, WA, May 02, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Leah Koenig, Parent Coach & Child Therapist at Collaborative Couples & Family Counseling in Bellevue Washington, will be speaking at the first Mamacon conference, Saturday May 19th in Bellevue at the Bellevue Hilton.
Mamacon is a new convention in Bellevue for Moms looking to inspire, encourage and rejuvenate moms by providing top-notch parenting development and education, strategies, tools, self-care tips, relationship support food and even entertainment. Mamacon is scheduled for May 18 and 19th, 2012 at the Bellevue Hilton.
Ms. Koenig will be presenting an eighteen minute workshop on having difficult conversations with our children titled "How Do We Tell the Kids." The take away message is for moms to understand the five must tell messages children need to hear when we are delivering difficult news.
"Sharing difficult news with our children is of course, difficult. They look to us for security and safety in the world, however we know as parents that the world can be a challenging place," Koenig says. "By including five key elements when sharing difficult news with our children, we can help them better manage how they interpret and process that news. I am very much looking forward to my eighteen minute workshop and participating in the first Mamacom in Bellevue."
This daylong conference will offer workshops to support moms in their parenting work. Eighteen minute workshops will feature local and national parenting experts on topics such as sleep, self-care, sex, avoiding food battles, surviving your tween’s developing independence, sharing the workload with partners and more.
