Ragsdale Liggett Attorney John M. Nunnally Receives Walter Zeller Fellowship Award
Attorney John Nunnally receives the Walter Zeller Fellowship Award from the Raleigh Kiwanis Foundation for his contributions to "The Eliminate Project," an international effort with UNICEF which supports mothers and infants with the deadly maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) disease. The joint effort is aimed at eliminating the disease.
Raleigh, NC, May 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Ragsdale Liggett PLLC announces that John M. Nunnally, partner in the law firm’s litigation department, has received the Walter Zeller Fellowship Award from the Raleigh Kiwanis Foundation. Mr. Nunnally received the honor in recognition of his contributions to the Kiwanis International joint “The Eliminate Project” with UNICEF. The award was presented April 27, 2012 at the Raleigh Kiwanis Foundation meeting.
“I am honored to be awarded the Walter Zeller Fellowship by the Raleigh Kiwanis Foundation,” said Nunnally. “The Fellowship benefits so many infants, mothers and their families, and I am pleased to make a contribution to this very worthy cause.”
Kiwanis International joined forces with UNICEF in 2010 to change the world for millions of mothers and babies who have maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT). The deadly disease, marked by extreme pain, kills nearly 100,000 mothers and newborns each year, mainly due to inadequate immunization and a lack of safe-delivery services and improper post-partum care. The majority of these deaths occur in 40 countries located in Africa, East Asia and South Asia. Nearly 600,000 Kiwanis volunteers are mobilizing to raise resources and awareness about MNT and The Eliminate Project as part of their mission to serve the world’s children.
John Nunnally has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Raleigh since 2000 and has previously received the C. A. Dillon, Jr. Fellowship Award and the Carl B. Hyatt Fellowship Award for his contributions to Camp Victory Junction, a camp for children with life-threatening illnesses or disabilities located in Randleman, North Carolina.
