Greatest Creation Becomes Worst Enemy: Omnipiece Published by Outskirts Press

Novelist Betty L. Sheldon presents an overview of truth in Biblical history through a fictional, space age world of dramatic interaction between cosmic beings and humanity -- paralleling the problem of sin through God’s eyes and his response to it.

St. Helena, CA, May 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Author Betty L. Sheldon announced today the release of her novel Omnipiece, published by Outskirts Press. In this modern day, space age parable to Christian questions about free will and sin, Sheldon’s novel follows the dangerous adventure of the outspoken Heosphoros after he boastfully declares, “It is impossible for us to spoil the universe by being disorderly!”

Sheldon has created an appealing fictional world of Exalted Ones, Omnis and Emmsis to illustrate God’s answers to mankind’s perennial religious questions: Is there hope beyond death? Who created Hell? If God is good, why is there suffering? Does God finally destroy the wicked? Can God be trusted?

When the Omnis set out to create a race of intelligent life forms, they are faced with the choice of granting them the gift of free will or imprisoning them in an existence of robot-like obedience. If they chose free will, the life forms could fall victim to a highly invasive virus that would take away their mental clarity and prevent them from any contact with the Exalted Ones who had given them life.

After making their decision, the Omnis watch as the virus begins to attack Heosphoros, but as he becomes more and more outspoken, the Omnis maintain their silence to him. Heosphoros takes their apparent lack of response to his communication as a validation of his cause, and he becomes more vociferous in his protest over them ignoring him. His belief in his superior intelligence finally gives him justification to no longer following the Omni’s restraints.

Sheldon tracks two mysteries through the course of her provocative narrative which not only keep the reader searching for answers until the final chapter of the book, but which also help each reader answer two additional perennial questions: Where did I come from? Why am I here?
