William Peace University Names Amber M. Kimball Assistant Vice President for Human Resources
Four-Year Baccalaureate University Promotes Director of Human Resources with 10 Years of Industry Experience
Raleigh, NC, May 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced that Amber M. Kimball has been promoted to assistant vice president for human resources. In her position, she will be responsible for ensuring that the university complies with all federal and state guidelines for policies, procedures, employee notices and reporting. She will standardize best practices and other processes for the campus faculty and staff regarding human resources, as well as develop and edit new and revised personnel policies and procedures, including performance management, employee leave and a compensation strategy that ensures equity and competitive salary levels at the university. With 10 years of professional experience, Kimball joined William Peace University in September 2010 as director of human resources, where she centralized and standardized the recruitment and classification process, as well as began improving employee benefits. Recently, she established a new performance management system designed to not only review an employee’s performance but to create an open line of communication between the employee and the manager that identifies reasonable expectations and encourages employee growth. Her previous employment includes human resources facilitator and HR manager at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, HR technician for Onslow County, HR and regional HR consultant for Stantec Consulting Inc. of Raleigh. She has held positions in accounting, payroll, and contracts and grants as well.
