iZone Secures Major Parks Deals with U.S. National Park Service and Alberta Parks
Temple, TX, May 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- iZone, a leading custom high pressure laminate manufacturer based in Temple, Texas recently announced that it has renewed multi-year contracts to provide park signage to two major national park networks - Alberta Parks, Canada, and the U.S. National Park Service. The contracts combined are expected to have a significant, long term revenue impact, and could be extended subsequently.
The U.S. National Park System comprises more than 84 million acres covering almost 400 parks in 50 states while the administration of Parks Division of Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation spans over seven million acres in 500 sites. “iZone is pleased to continue our relationship with each of these prestigious park networks,” says Mike MacEachern, President/CEO iZone. “Millions of people visit these parks each year, and to be able to in some way contribute to the vision of these well- known and respected institutions is such an honor.”
“We are pleased and proud to have iZone as an important member of the Temple business and manufacturing community,” Lee Peterson, president of the Temple Economic Development Corporation (TEDC), said. “Their continued ability to attract national and international contracts provide good jobs and growth to Temple. TEDC is excited with iZone’s continued growth and renewed contracts with both the U.S. National Park Service and Alberta Parks.”
Since these contracts were last renewed in 2009, iZone has more than doubled annual sales and has continually worked to improve manufacturing processes and on-time delivery with the pipeline of new projects growing every year.
Although iZone has typically serviced clients in the park and recreation industry, it's now seeing increases all across the board in existing as well as new markets. “The diversification of iZone’s product line as well as its custom capabilities and unique durability has led to an increase in sales to clients in exhibit environments and architectural and interior applications,” says MacEachern. “Designers are leading new innovations for our product, and as a result we are being specified more often up front.”
MacEachern attributes iZone’s success to significant improvements in the manufacturing process, specifically in printing and pressing capabilities resulting in increased efficiency and shorter lead times. Since taking the reins in 2008, MacEachern’s goal has been to take iZone from a word-of-mouth business to a world class manufacturing facility actively engaged in exceeding client expectation. His first order of business was to hire Virgil Canady in 2009, who brings 20 years of manufacturing and custom printed laminate experience from Wilson Art International. He also recruited David Glorioso, who has more than 30 years of successful sales and sales management experience.
“iZone is no longer seen as just a sign product,” says David Glorioso, iZone National Sales Manager. “Architects and designers are using iZone panels for indoor and outdoor applications where high resolution graphics and long lasting finishes are required, such as airports, hospitals, schools and stadiums,” he says. “3rd party quality testing, built to last materials, and a fully backed 10-year non-prorated warranty are just a few of the things we know will keep iZone at the forefront.”
Some of iZone’s recent projects include wayfinding signage at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., interior and exterior signage for Red Rock Interpretive Center in Las Vegas, signage for the Old Faithful Visitor Center at Yellowstone National Park, and large murals and signage for Auburn University’s stadium. iZone has also completed several projects for Disney locations worldwide as well as projects for major hospitals, hotels, and cruise lines.
Glorioso likes to say that iZone is a 12-year old “start-up” company. “We enjoy the experience gained over the past decade, but we’re really just getting started,” he said. “New customers contact us daily to learn more about our sustainable product and the varied uses of iZone. We’re fortunate that we manufacture a highly desired and premium-quality custom printed product, and our clients appreciate Texas-friendly customer service and timely manufacturing. We’re excited about the future of iZone.”
