Casey Cares Foundation Helps Seriously Ill Children at Georgetown Hospital Celebrate Mother's Day
Washington, DC, May 09, 2012 --(PR.com)-- In addition to receiving new pajamas, the pediatric patients at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital will be able to "give back" to their mothers this year for Mother's Day when they create recipe card holders during a Casey Cares Kami's Jammies party. The Casey Cares Foundation provides uplifting programs with a special touch to critically ill children and their families. One of six programs of the charity, the Kami's Jammies program provides new sleepwear and themed pajama parties to pediatric patients in 20 hospitals during their extended hospital stays.
"Mothers usually give of themselves every day of the year to their sick children," explained Casey Baynes, Founder of Casey Cares. "It's nice to be able to give the children a way to show their moms their love and appreciation.
The event will take place at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Child Life Playroom on Wednesday, May 9th beginning at 3:00pm
