Superior Grocers Celebrates Its One Year Anniversary at Oxnard Location with Big Car Giveaway and School Donations

Oxnard, CA, May 09, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Superior Grocers, one of Southern California’s largest independent supermarket chains, will be celebrating its one year anniversary at its Oxnard location on Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. The anniversary event will be a huge celebration for the community that includes the raffle of a 2012 Chevy Sonic car, televisions, game consoles, food samples and entertainment. Many vendor partners will also be participating in this event, in support of Superior and the community.

“The Oxnard community has responded extremely positive to our store in our first year. We are very proud to be part of this community and look forward to continue providing the quality, value and savings our customers have already experienced,” commented Phil Lawrence, Chief Operating Officer of Superior Grocers.

In addition to the raffles and entertainment, Superior Foundation, Superior Grocers’ non-profit organization, will also be donating $6,000 to three local Oxnard schools. The three schools to be recognized are Kamala Elementary School, Larsen Elementary School and E.O. Green Junior High School. The award ceremony will also take place during the anniversary celebration and the schools’ principals will be present to acknowledge and receive the donations.
