Safe Body Art Act Compliance Training Offered by Body Art Training Group on May 29, 2012

An all-day Safe Body Art Act compliance training program will be held on May 29, 2012 in Santa Ana, California. Kathy Hartman, of the Body Art Training Group, will teach the session on bloodborne pathogens.

Santa Ana, CA, May 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- A two-hour class, “Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Training,” will be given on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in Santa Ana, CA as part of an all-day Safe Body Art Act compliance training program.

Kathy Hartman, from the Body Art Training Group, will be the instructor. Ms. Hartman is an OSHA Authorized General Industry Outreach Trainer and a Registered Environmental Health Specialist.

The all-day training program is designed for environmental health specialists, tattoo artists, body piercers, ear piercers, and permanent cosmetics technicians.

This training is sponsored by a coalition of professional organizations including the California Association of Environmental Health Administrators; the Association of Professional Piercers, the Alliance of Professional Tattooists, the California Alliance for the Promotion of Safe Body Art; and the Health Officers Association of California.

During the day there will be sessions on: Overview of the Safe Body Art Act; Practitioner Registration Requirements; Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Training; Safe Body Art Practices; Permanent Body Art Facility Requirements; Temporary Body Art Facilities; Enforcement; and Mechanical Stud and Clasp Ear Piercing.
