72andSunny Launches New Website for Bugaboo Daytrips
Los Angeles, CA, June 07, 2007 --(PR.com)-- 72andSunny, the global advertising and design agency for Dutch stroller company Bugaboo, is launching a dedicated website for its Bugaboo Daytrips campaign at www.bugaboodaytrips.com, featuring downloadable walking tours for design-forward parents and their children. The robust site invites visitors to explore and preview tailor-made walking tours in cities around the world, compare notes with other parents, and find fun ways to stay on the go with their children. The site features 22 Bugaboo Daytrips with updated itineraries and artwork by KozynDan, Meomi, Dustin Arnold, Drew Flaherty, Oksana Badrak, and other renowned designers.
Said Glenn Cole, Creative Director and Co-Founder, 72andSunny, “When you become a parent, you want to maintain your identity as an adventurous, curious, active person. Bugaboo offers two ways to help. One is a line of multi-functional strollers; the other is now Bugaboo Daytrips. The daytrips are a great way for parents to discover the multi-functionality of their Bugaboo strollers.”
72andSunny launched Bugaboo Daytrips in 2004 as an advertising campaign in print and outdoor that directed parents to a page on bugaboo.com where visitors could download inspiring walking tours. The initiative is now part of Bugaboo’s retail and event communications and is also used for global promotions. The new dedicated website gives parents a chance to engage more deeply and connect with like-minded active parents. Participants are still rewarded with off-the-beaten-path itineraries featuring curious destinations such as a chocolate museum in Barcelona, a baby disco in Chicago, a climbable iron tree in Portland, and the best creperie in Toronto.
Said John Boiler, Co-Founder and Creative Director, 72andSunny, “Travel service, parent connector, art project, product demo, advertising campaign… Bugaboo Daytrips is and embodies all of these things by design. The site is equally useful, functional and beautiful, like Bugaboo strollers.”
The new website is feature-rich and places an emphasis on discovery. Visitors can preview a daytrip by virtually exploring the various points of interest along each daytrip, read reviews by other daytrippers, post their own, or send individual daytrips to friends and family. The notebook-style layout of the site also allows parents to download and print the maps, which on the wall of any child’s room, serve as an artful reminder of a fun day out together. To discover more about each artist commissioned by 72andSunny, the site offers a short bio and links to artist portfolios and gallery showings. The site features a variety of daytrips in diverse cities across three continents, but new cities and daytrips are added frequently and visitors can easily register for updates and other Bugaboo information.
Said Mieke Van Der Loo, Director of Marketing, Bugaboo, “Bugaboo is about increasing the freedom of movement of modern parents. We do that through our strollers, but also by offering this exciting online service to our customers. As a young parent you might feel that having an inspiring afternoon in a city has become a challenge. With Bugaboo Daytrips, we show that you can still go check out cool places for both yourself and a child. By curating and commissioning these walking tours, 72andSunny is helping us reach out to our customers in a more personal way, as well as establishing and maintaining a meaningful online dialogue.”
Bugaboo, known for its smartly engineered baby strollers for on-the-go parents, has worked in a strategic and creative partnership with 72andSunny since 2004. Today, the Bugaboo line, which consists of the Bugaboo Frog, Bugaboo Cameleon, and the Bugaboo Bee debuting in September 2007, has won numerous design industry awards and become a cultural icon.
