USMEA- Online Provides Faculty and Staff in Arizona with Professional Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Training
As opposed to other veteran organizations in the State of Arizona, USMEA-Online has demonstrated exceptional merit through its professional presentation and co-facilitated training/certification with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Section to SWTDT faculty and staff located in Tucson, Arizona.
Tucson, AZ, May 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Special Guest attending and supporting USMEA-Online Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) training session; Tucson City Vice Mayor/ Council Member Karin Uhlich and Arizona State Legislative Representative Steve Farley for District 28.
On the heels of the recent Executive Order: Establishing Principles of Excellence for Educational Institutions Serving Service Members, Veterans, Spouses, and Other Family Members being signed by the United States of America, President Barack Obama in late April 2012.
USMEA-Online has also been proactively working with nontraditional, vocational schools and post-secondary institutions for sometime in creating and launching a model for a “Fast-Track” credentialing and/or licensing process for troops matching their “Military Occupation Specialties” (MOS) for members of the United States Armed Forces of America. In many cases, military training requirements exceed those for civilian credentialing.
“We need a national system that works for our military members to make their educational transition smoother,” said Mr. Ramlogan, President, USMEA-Online.
A U.S. Army Soldier with a MOS in motor transport of an “88 Mike” can drive a 5-Ton Truck through the desert of Iraq or the mountains of Afghanistan for his country, but when he returns back to his home state he will need to go back to a civilian truck driver training school to get a state issued commercial driver’s license (CDL) before he can make a living as a truck driver.
Changes in government agencies to grant civilian credentials based on prior/existing military training, or requiring military members to take an equivalent civilian test for credentials/licenses is greatly needed to get qualified military members into the civilian job market without undue delay.
There are approximately 200,500 plus troops who are separating and transitioning into the civilian job market within recent years/currently.
“Mr. Ramlogan is truly supporting the military and veteran communities in the City of Tucson by providing them with a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) training session. This is a valuable training session for anyone working with returning military and/or veteran members. All schools in the City of Tucson as well as the entire State of Arizona should be onboard in getting their post-secondary institution trained in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) by Mr. Ramlogan and his professional organization,” said Arizona State Legislative Representative Steve Farley, of District 28.
“Mr. Ramlogan has brought employers in the City of Tucson valuable services/support for our military, veterans and their families attending schools; in matching their education with available employment opportunities. Mr. Ramlogan is also doing the same with other cities and states. USMEA-Online has established resources within the following areas; nontraditional, vocational and post-secondary education resource, employment, healthcare, and transition programs from the military to civilian. USMEA-Online has been developing and is maintaining a centralized network of vetted resources and community partners,” said City of Tucson Vice/Mayor/Council Member Karin Uhlich, Ward III.
Since last year USMEA-Online has spearheaded numerous initiatives to include a military education/career fair in the State of Arizona. They continue to develop educational and employment partnerships to support local military, veterans and their families. They have not been financially sponsored and/or supported by any City, County, or even the State of Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services Office (Veterans’ Donation Fund).

We will continue to offers professional guidance to our military, veterans and their families’ seeking nontraditional or post-secondary higher education in making an informed decision when selecting from a variety of those institutional programs.”
