Mother Wins a Car from Mother's Day Car for a Cause

Crown Point, IN, May 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- In February, C.D.E. Collision Damage Experts reached out to St. Jude House, a Domestic Violence Prevention Center and Shelter in Crown Point, IN to find a candidate who was in need of reliable transportation. Candidates filled out an application and wrote a one page narrative explaining how having a vehicle could change their life. After reading a number of applications, one woman was chosen. This Mother’s Day, a single mother who has overcome a number of tribulations in her life, drove away from C.D.E. Collision Damage Experts’ in her new car. Denise Wallace of Indiana was completely surprised when her name was called at the event on Thursday.

With the help of eighteen local sponsors and vendors, C.D.E. Collision Damage Experts’ were also able to provide Dennis and her 8mth old daughter with a year’s supply of tire rotations, oil changes, and gasoline. Furthermore, they are covering the cost for having full auto coverage of her choice and $250 in gift certificates for general maintenance. The car also has brand new tires and brakes. For her 8 month old daughter, C.D.E. included some every day necessities and a $200 gift card to Target.

Over 120 people came to witness the Mother’s Day Car for a Cause Initiative at the Collision Damage Expert’s Grand Opening. Denise was completely surprised to find out she was the recipient of the vehicle. Her family and friends have supported Denise in her journey to success. They provide her with motivation and help babysit her daughter. They gave her rides to work, church, and St. Jude House Meetings. Denise’s family and friends were excited to be part of her special night.
