DAVE School Top 100
DAVE School Ranked Among Top 100 in the World
Orlando, FL, May 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Digital Animation and Visual Effects School has been ranked number 5 in the world by the Animation Career Review in its list of the Top 100 Schools for Animation, Gaming, and Design.
In its assessment, Animation Career Review credits the DAVE School for turning animation education into a pragmatic art form that can be easily learned.
The article goes on to cite the School’s 87% graduation rate – which it describes as a good indicator of a tough program, but one that you have a reasonably good chance of graduating from.
“We are very excited for this recognition,” said industry veteran and DAVE School Academic Director William Vaughan. “It is extremely rewarding to be recognized by our peers for the work we do, and for the success our students and graduates have achieved.”
Animation Career Review conducted its analysis using a combination of school reviews, industry-reviewed lists like the Princeton Review, and through a survey of animation industry professionals and recruiters from companies like Pixar and DreamWorks.
Located on the back lot of Universal Studios, Florida, in Sound Stage 25, The DAVE School's 35,000 square foot facility includes three labs, a shooting stage with a 65'x 25' green screen, and a state of the art motion capture system. Offering comprehensive training in 3D modeling and animation, motion graphics creation, and stereoscopic 3D visual effects production, The DAVE School is producing a new breed of 3D and visual effects artists. Recent graduates’ work can be seen in blockbuster movies, including Thor, The Green Lantern and Captain America. Their reputation for producing top talent is why 85% of DAVE School graduates are immediately placed into the 3D/VFX industry for companies including Stereo D, Pixomondo, Digital Domain, and Rhythm & Hues.
