Diamond Packaging Wins Two Awards in 2011 FSEA Gold Leaf Awards Competition
Diamond’s awards showcase its folding carton decorating capabilities, including foil stamping and embossing.
Rochester, NY, May 18, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Diamond Packaging won two awards in the 2011 FSEA Gold Leaf Awards Competition, the industry's premier showcase for foil stamping, embossing, and other specialty effects. Awards were announced during the FSEA•IADD Joint Conference at the Monte Carlo Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.
The competition, which is sponsored by the Foil & Specialty Effects Association (FSEA), recognizes creativity and superior execution of designs that reflect positively on the industry as a whole. Entries are judged on several criteria including design, execution, and level of difficulty. Winning an award is a mark of excellence in the packaging field and recognition of superior achievement.
Competing against hundreds of entries from around the country, Diamond earned recognition by winning one Gold Leaf award and one Silver Leaf award.
Diamond won a Gold Leaf award in the "Calendar" category for its Diamond Packaging 2012 Calendar.
Diamond's corporate calendar is a long-standing company tradition. The three-month calendar is a popular promotional item given to customers and suppliers.
This year’s jukebox concept takes people back to a nostalgic era — the golden age of rock and roll, drive-in diners, and sock hops. Although popularized in the 1950s, the jukebox is sure to make people of ANY age smile.
The calendar illustrates many of Diamond's capabilities, including creative design, Liquid Metal™ brilliant metallic UV specialty coating, Cast and Cure holographic effects, multi-level embossing, and intricate die cutting.
Environmentally-friendly techniques (Liquid Metal™, Cast and Cure, produced with 100% wind energy, etc.) support Diamond's message of creating innovative and sustainable packaging solutions. The upscale decorative techniques are also a natural evolution of Diamond's greenbox initiative and exemplify Diamond's Green Chic™ model — “Beauty without Compromise” — by capturing the essence of luxury brands through more sustainable converting methods.
Diamond won a Silver Leaf award in the "Difficult Application on a Folding Carton" category for Elizabeth Arden's White Diamonds Gift Set.
White Diamonds epitomizes singular star quality — radiant, extraordinarily rare, and overwhelmingly beautiful. Elizabeth Arden turned to Diamond for packaging as captivating as the product.
The carton features metallized polyester board and intricate embossing accents.
The carton was offset printed with light transparent gold, dark transparent gold (over light gold), dense black, and opaque white inks, in-line with UV high gloss coating.
The brilliance of the mirror-like finish of the metallized polyester film makes it a perfect choice for conveying the striking graphics.
Exquisite dome-embossed round diamonds add to the beauty and reinforce the White Diamonds brand.
Diamond's QuikSet™ design provides an attractive alternative to set-up boxes, featuring direct application of graphics and stamping or embossing, flat shipping and storage, and easy set-up.
Diamond Contract Manufacturing (DCM) provided all of the fulfillment, including adding pad stiffeners to the base and lid, fully assembling vacuum form trays, and polybagging the units.
