Extreme Makeover Main Street
The Upper Main Alliance Business Expo Makes Simple the Hackensack Rehabilitation Plan.
Hackensack, NJ, May 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- On June 14th, 2012 the Upper Main Alliance will host its 3rd Annual Hackensack Business Expo at the Bergen Community College – 355 Main Street – from 6pm to 9pm. This year’s topic – Extreme Makeover Main Street.
This event is a mainstay in the Bergen County business community with dozens of sponsoring businesses showcasing their products, local restaurants providing tastings of their signature dishes and business owners networking together to spur the local economy. Each year in attendance are representatives from various city departments including: Police, Fire, Building, Health, Tax and Zoning.
This year is special. The City of Hackensack recently took a big step forward in its Rehabilitation Plan to revitalize the city’s downtown district and reestablish Hackensack as the cultural, economic, and social center of Bergen County and North Jersey. The City will likely adopt the plan in the next few months. This plan will strengthen and promote existing businesses and provide new opportunities for property owners. The plan will create a clearly defined downtown district, employing a variety of mixed-use development.
“We want this Business Expo to be a celebration of the partnership between the Upper Main Alliance and City of Hackensack, both of whom are dedicated to the rehabilitation of Hackensack’s downtown,” said Jerry Lombardo, Chairman of the Upper Main Alliance and owner of CJ Lombardo Co. “Also, we know that our local business community have questions about the Rehabilitation Plan and this is the perfect opportunity for them to get the facts,” added Jerry.
This is sure to be the largest Business Expo in the Alliance’s history. The Hackensack High School Cheerleaders will be making an appearance to rally the 350 expected attendees. There will be live music performances and complimentary wine and food. Event organizers are making preparations for a festive, exciting evening where professionals, retailers and residents can discuss what many are already calling the most ambitious project the city has ever seen.
There is no cost for admission but we request that attendees register in advance. To attend the Hackensack Upper Main Alliance Business Expo: Extreme Makeover Main Street please email lori@uppermain.org or call 201.498.1690.
Members of the Press should register with Noelle Frieson, at noelle@uppermain.org call 201.383.5533
