Confidence Magazine & Dr. Leigh-Davis to Focus on Classics Cars and Fast Autos
Dr. Leigh-Davis explains why Confidence Magazine’s coverage of the Salon Privé will mark a turning point.
Los Angeles, CA, May 23, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Confidence Magazine’s editor-in-chief, Dr. Leigh-Davis, has long been obsessed with all automobiles, but it wasn’t until she filmed the Concours d'Elegance car show for a friend who was out of the country, that people kept asking for more. Dr. Leigh-Davis reminisced, “As a teenager, I was a tomboy, and when all the other girls had pictures on their walls of male celebrities, I had pictures of cars,” Dr. Leigh-Davis continued, “Actually, I had a few pictures of one male celebrity, who shall remain nameless, because I met him later in life, and he was rude and unlikeable; which is usually how it works, and is why I like to stay a fan from afar.”
As editor-in-chief of Confidence Magazine, Dr. Leigh-Davis decided it was time to put more focus on automobiles, especially those of the classic kind. Confidence Magazine, described as a magazine for men and women of discriminating taste, has often focused on cars, but now it will be a featured segment in every issue. Supervising editor, Jill Benson, stated, “Discriminating tastes and real estate, as well as cars, go hand-in-hand, so it was the next step in cementing our place as a true magazine for the discriminating and the affluent.”
Coincidentally, the new emphasis of Confidence Magazine will coincide with the Salon Privé car show in London this year, which will be celebrating 25 years of the Ferrari F40. This year, the Salon Privé has been moved back to September 5th through the 7th, to alleviate London’s impacted schedule of events, which includes the Olympics and the Diamond Jubilee.
Some may not notice much of a change to Confidence Magazine, because past issues of Confidence Magazine have included stories focused on: James Bond cars; Mercedes-Benz; the Enzo Ferrari; etc. “It is not so much a change. Rather, it is a guarantee of what the future entails, and provides the information potential subscribers seek,” explained Dr. Leigh-Davis.
Confidence Magazine is published bi-monthly and is internationally focused. Hoping to give both Vanity Fair and Esquire a run for their money, Confidence Magazine has increased its worldwide presence, with international distribution deals.
In addition to being editor-in-chief of Confidence Magazine, Dr. Leigh-Davis is currently a full-time law professor, in addition to being a retired attorney, anthropologist, and popular TV & media personality, who regularly appears as a legal analyst and legal correspondent on NBC news, Sky news, CNN, and Fox news. Also, she is the former host of the Court TV television show, “The Court is in Session.” More information about Dr. Leigh-Davis’ television, writing and radio projects, can be found on Dr. Leigh-Davis’ official website.
