Canadian Eye on Africa Meets with Dean of African Ambassadors in Canada
Members of the Executive Committee of Canadian Eye on Africa met with the Dean of African Ambassadors in Canada, the Ambassador of Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Ambassador Florence Chideya.
Ottawa, Canada, May 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- On Thursday, May 10, 2012, members of the Executive Committee of Canadian Eye on Africa met with the Dean of African Ambassadors in Canada, the Ambassador of Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Ambassador Florence Chideya.
The meeting included a discussion of the upcoming Canadian Eye on Africa event: The First Annual Canadian Eye on Africa Resource Trade and Diplomatic Show.
"This show promises to be a groundbreaking event for all involved," said Executive Director of Canadian Eye on Africa, Mr. Nour Kaafi.
The show will include participants such as various Afro-Canadian Scholars, professors and researchers at Canadian Universities. Also contributing will be more than 55 Embassies, Security Companies and Energy & Resource companies. This year’s show will focus on African Resource and Investment Opportunities and Security & Resource Asset Protection.
Ambassador Chideya was also quoted as saying, "I will make sure that all members of the African Group of Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and Chargés d'Affaires are included in your invitation to participate."
The Executive Committee shared with the Ambassador that they had received strong expressions of interest and committment from other members of the African Group of Ambassadors in Ottawa as well as other diplomats, Resource Companies, Security Companies, and the Afro-Canadian Diaspora.
The meeting ended with an agreement to proceed and a commitment on the part of the Ambassador to participate in, contribute to, and support in any way possible, the upcoming Trade and Diplomatic Show which will take place at the River Building, Carleton University, Ottawa on July 13, 2012.
